Your local Childminder...

If your child becomes ill or in pain whilst in our care, it will be necessary for the child to go home immediately. This is because the happiness and wellbeing of the child and the other children is paramount. A sick child should be with its parents at home to aid a quicker recovery and to reduce the risk of exposure of infection to other children.

Any child who has a notable infectious disease i.e. sickness diarrhoea, conjunctivitis etc will not be accepted within 24 hours of the end of that illness to avoid and an outbreak of illness amongst the other children and of course their childminder!
Sometimes an illness is not infectious but there may be hygiene concerns. The national standards state that no child should be received if they appear to be ill.
We would be grateful if you could let us know that the child will not be attending so that we can make alternative arrangements for our schedule that day.
